Workshop Description: This interactive, case-based session offers an introduction to recognition and management of VT. Participants will review key findings on the 12-lead ECG to help distinguish VT from other wide complex tachycardias. We will then cover both acute and long-term treatment strategies, including indications for ICD therapy and VT catheter ablation. Finally, the workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of VT mapping and ablation. By the end of the session, learners will have developed a solid understanding of how VT is identified and treated.

The content is intended for cardiovascular trainees, early EP fellows, and allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

understand concepts used to recognize VT on a 12-lead ECG;
describe basic management strategies for VT, including indications for ICD implantation, and VT ablation; and
identify important findings during VT mapping and ablation.
