Workshop Description: A new session this year, the Global Cardiovascular Care session touches on the role of global health in cardiovascular medicine and surgery. Learn from various leaders in the field on the impact of global health in cardiovascular medicine and surgery, how to get involved, and opportunites that exist in the field of global health.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

understand the importance of global health cardiovascular medicine and surgery, and the unmet needs in cardiac care world wide;
learn what a career involving global health may look like, and how trainees or early-career members may get involved; and
explore Canadian perspectives to global health, and how we can help address global care needs.
