This program will explore the critical role of inflammation in the development and progression of atherosclerosis, with a particular focus on the IL-6/CRP axis in patients with high-risk ASCVD. Faculty will review emerging evidence linking inflammatory pathways to cardiovascular outcomes and provide practical strategies for incorporating inflammation into clinical assessment and treatment planning. Participants will leave with actionable insights to optimize patient management through an inflammation-focused approach.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

Describe the relationship between inflammation and atherosclerosis;
Assess the relationship on the IL-6/CRP axis in high risk atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD); and
Apply practical guidance on how to incorporate inflammation into practice.
