Dr. Nikita Malhotra is a dual-trained Cardiologist and Intensivist currently serving as a Clinical Scholar in the Departments of Cardiology and Critical Care at McMaster University. She completed her Adult Critical Care Medicine fellowship at McMaster University and her Adult Cardiology training at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, where she also held the role of Chief Cardiology Resident. Her foundational training in Internal Medicine and her Doctor of Medicine were both completed at McMaster University and the University of Ottawa, respectively.
Dr. Malhotra is actively involved in bedside teaching and curriculum development--she is passionate about advancing the integration of cardiology and critical care practices, particularly in the management of acute circulatory failure and high-risk cardiac patients. Her academic contributions include the development of innovative communication workshops, procedural teaching modules, and leading simulation-based sessions in cardiac critical care. She is actively pursing her advancement in medical education through the McMaster Clinical Educator Program.
