She began her healthcare journey as a respiratory therapist, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and cardiopulmonary physiology. Her passion for advancing clinical practice led her to transition into perfusion, where she has since become a leader in the profession. Throughout her career, May has been a dedicated advocate for collaboration and education. She is known for fostering strong, respectful relationships with healthcare professionals across disciplines, ensuring seamless teamwork in high-stakes surgical environments. A committed educator, May champions the importance of perfusion awareness and training, believing that the role should be clearly understood and appreciated by all members of the healthcare team.
