Jimmy Kang is a final year medical student from the University of Alberta. He is enrolled in the MD-STIR (Special Training in Research) program at the UofA under Dr. Jeevan Nagendran where he is working towards creating a tissue-engineered heart valve with a decreased immunogenic response. He is interested in pursuing a career in academic cardiac surgery in the future.
