Research Coordinator
University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada
Lauren Pattison is a Research Coordinator within the Brain and Heart Nexus Research Program at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI). She is also the coordinator of the Data Science Centre and the Population Outcomes Research Unit (PORU) at UOHI. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University in 2024. Since starting at UOHI in September 2024, Lauren has been coordinating a study implementing a screening tool for common neurological comorbidities in heart failure patients at the UOHI heart function clinic. This tool will be used to develop predictive models for adverse heart-brain outcomes in this population. She is also involved in several studies at UOHI integrating artificial intelligence models into cardiovascular clinical workflow to improve patient care. She is thrilled to be sharing her poster on her ongoing study at this year’s CCC, this being her first academic conference.
