Bana Samman is a third-year medical student at the University of Toronto, where she also completed her Honours Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. Her clinical interests are paediatric congenital and adult aortic root reconstructive surgeries, with a focus on patient-tailored surgical strategies to optimise the course of aortic valve interventions in young and middle-aged patients. She is involved in multiple research studies seeking to analyse various outcomes following the Ross procedure in both adult and paediatric patients.
