Hayden John is a second-year medical student at Queen’s University and a nationally recognized student leader in health equity. He has received multiple national awards, including the SSHRC Undergraduate Research Award and the CDTRP Rising Star Travel Award. Hayden has presented at national and international conferences and leads research projects on kidney health, student mental health, and addressing anti-Black racism in healthcare education. His current research focuses on optimizing perioperative care in cardiac surgery to improve post-operative outcomes.
