Dr. Christopher Overgaard is inaugrual Chief of the Department of Cardiac Health at Southlake Health. He also works in Cardiac Intensive Care and specilizes in high risk interventional procedures and percutaneous mechanical support. He obtained his MD and postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology from the University of Toronto. He worked at the University Health Network from 2007 to 2019, where he held multiple leadership positions including Director of the STEMI program, Director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit, and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
