Dr. Natalie Dayan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at McGill University, a General Internal Medicine (GIM) specialist at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and Scientist at the Research Institute of the MUHC. Dayan leads the Obstetric Medicine clinical service within the GIM division, which provides care to pregnant and postpartum patients with complex medical conditions. Dayan holds the Fondation du Québec Recherche en Santé (FRQS) Chercheur Boursier Clinicien award (Junior 2) and was a former recipient of Early Career Professorship for Women’s Heart and Brain Health from McGill University and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada supporting her research program in women's health. She has authored more than 70 peer reviewed papers and has contributed to national guidelines on cardiovascular risk screening and management after complicated pregnancy. She has recently begun advocating for improved evidence generation in pregnant and postpartum patients through their inclusion in non-obstetric clinical trials, by leading the PregTrial initiative, and has a funded grant to develop a novel tool for the prediction of premature cardiovascular disease in women incorporating reproductive and nonreproductive factors.
