Kate Bourne is a second year medical student in the Leaders in Medicine program at the University of Calgary. Prior to medical school, Kate completed her PhD in Dr. Satish Raj's Lab. Her PhD work focused on postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) including the impacts of POTS on patients as well as non-pharmacological treatment options including compression garments. During her graduate work Kate held a CIHR Vanier Scholar Award.
