Dr. Edythe Tham completed her medical and pediatric training in Australia followed by Pediatric Cardiology training in the USA. She specializes in cardiac imaging - echocardiography and cardiac MRI at the Stollery Children's Hospital, University of Alberta. Her research interests are in novel imaging techniques to evaluate cardiac function in cardiomyopathies and single ventricles. She is the Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Residency program and the Cardiac MRI advanced imaging fellowship. She is also the founder of the Virtual Heart Connection, a Physician-led volunteer initiative that has organized Virtual Fontan heart day camps, online kids choirs and annual Fontan Family Camps to connect Fontan children across Canada. She aims to employ different methods to make education fun and interesting.
