Dr. Laura Mantella is an Internal Medicine resident and MD/PhD graduate whose research focuses on advanced cardiovascular imaging for cardiovascular risk stratification. Specifically, she is interested in the use of carotid ultrasound plaque vulnerability characteristics to predict coronary artery disease and major adverse cardiovascular events. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the CIHR Doctoral Research Award and the King Charles III Coronation Medal, reflecting her commitment to advancing cardiovascular care and building healthier communities.
