Dr. Yuval Bitterman is a Staff Pediatric Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. He is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto and a Principal Investigator at the SickKids Research Institute.
Dr Bitterman graduated from the Technion – Israeli Institute of Technology Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and completed his pediatrics residency at Ruth Children Hospital in Haifa, Israel, where he also served as a staff pediatrician. Dr. Bitterman pursued further subspecialty training in pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology at SickKids and joined the Division of Cardiology as Associate Staff in July 2024.
Dr Bitterman’s main research focus is electromechanical dyssynchrony, arrhythmia mechanisms, and the lifelong care of congenital heart disease.
