Aliya Izumi is a second-year master’s student at the University of Toronto. Her graduate research, under the supervision of Dr. Phyllis Billia and Dr. Vivek Rao, explores the medical and surgical management of advanced heart failure, with an emphasis on durable mechanical circulatory support. Her research and clinical interests extend to the management of heart failure in pediatric and adult congenital patients.
