Rene Boudreau completed his medical school at Dalhousie University, followed by an Internal Medicine residency in Ottawa. He then completed a Cardiology fellowship and two years of interventional training at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, focusing on complex and high-risk coronary interventions, chronic total occlusions, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. He is now completing an additional year of CTO/CHIP training in Boston at Mass General Brigham. His research interests include complex coronary interventions, acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock and temporary mechanical circulatory support.
