Dr. Shivani Bhat is a physician, researcher, and healthcare advocate currently completing her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus. She is a proud McGill University alumna and holds a Master’s in Public Health from King’s College London. She previously trained within the UK’s Academic Foundation Program at NHS University Hospitals Sussex as a Junior Doctor.
Her academic and research interests span preventive cardiology, women’s cardiovascular health, and global health. She has led and contributed to diverse projects exploring Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, dietary patterns and carotid intima–media thickness, and nurse-led hypertension management protocols, alongside work in nutrition education and health systems improvement.
Dr. Bhat’s work has been presented internationally, including at the American College of Cardiology. Her goal is to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centered care and systems-level innovation, with a focus on sex-specific cardiovascular risk factors and the translation of research into clinical practice.
