Dr. Catherine Deshaies attended medical school at McGill University. She completed a PhD in biomedical sciences at Université de Montréal, and residency training, at Dalhousie University. She then completed 2 years of fellowship training in pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery at the Texas Children’s Hospital, USA, followed by another 6 months of pediatric specialization at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne, Australia. She recently returned to Halifax to start her congenital practice, working at the IWK Health Centre and QEII Halifax Infirmary with affiliations to Dalhousie University.
