Dr. Mary-Pat Schlosser is trying to curb her addiction to education after having completed degrees and training in microbiology and immunology, public health, medicine, pediatrics, hematology and oncology and health informatics. She found the need to travel east to Halifax, Toronto, Ottawa and Boston for training in addition to that which she had done in Edmonton. She is happy she got home to take her current position at The Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton as Medical Lead of ASSIST, the pediatric palliative care team at The Stollery, as well as pediatric neuro-oncologist and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. Outside of her work life, she has taken up weaving using the loom unexpectedly abandoned by the previous owners of her house.
