Dr. Rebeyka received his MD degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1979 and completed surgical and research training at the University of Toronto and the Medical College of Virginia. He was a staff surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children from 1989 to 1996. He was the head of Pedaitric Cardiac Surgery at the University of Alberta & Stollery Children's Hospitals from 1996 to 2018.
