ARCHIMEDES, Metaresearch and Open Science Program, The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI)
Marc Albert is the Community and Partnerships Liaison for a health data platform from the University of Ottawa's Heart Institute (UOHI) called the Advanced Research Collaboration on Health Information, Medical Exploration, and Data Synthesis (ARCHIMEDES). Marc has extensive experience engaging patient partners in research through his work with ARCHIMEDES, as well as through his prior research work. He completed his MSc. in Health Systems at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, and worked with several health research groups prior to joining the ARCHIMEDES team, including the University of Ottawa Heart Institute’s Meta research and Open Science Program. In his role with ARCHIMEDES, Marc connects with researchers, research networks and other stakeholders (e.g., patient partners) interested in ARCHIMEDES to understand their expectations for a health data platform and determine how ARCHIMEDES can best meet their specific needs. Marc also works closely will several of ARCHIMEDES technical and governance/legal experts to ensure alignment between all aspects of ARCHIMEDES.
