Jenna Ashkanase obtained her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario followed by pediatric residency training at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in North Bay. She went on to pursue a fellowship in pediatric cardiology through the University of Ottawa at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and a subsequent combined clinical and research fellowship in pediatric heart function and transplantation through the University of Toronto at the Hospital for Sick Children. Jenna became a staff pediatric cardiologist at McMaster Children's Hospital in 2020. As an assistant professor at McMaster University, she is an avid participant in teaching and creating novel educational content for both undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
