Workshop Description: This workshop will focus on a multidisciplinary approach to the assessment and management of cardiac device infections. This will be an interactive workshop based around a clinical case. We will have presentations from an echocardiographer, an electrophysiologist and a member of an endocarditis team. There will be an emphasis on the expanded role of new imaging techniques in the diagnosis of these challenging cases. We will review the indications for device extraction and review new procedural techniques. There will be an emphasis on multidisciplinary decision making and the role of a formal endocarditis team in the management of these patients will be described.
