Workshop Description: This workshop is intended to be presented in French, as part of the partnership between the Association des Cardiologues du Québec and the CCC.
The usage of antiplatelets remains a challenge in the real life. Different clinical situations dictate different choice of antiplateltes. The usage of sigle and dual antiplatelets will be discussed in patients with chronic or acute coronary syndrome. The workshop aims to enhance the knowledge level and address the learning needs in the field of antiplatelets. Each presentation will begin with a clinical case presentation focusing on patient's indication, type of treatment medical, PCI or CABG. This workshop provides a great opportunity for members from different affiliations to collaborate including clinical and interventional cardiologists. Presentations will cover the usage of oral and intravenous antiplatelet mainly in special subgroups of patients manily those at high risk of ischemic or bleeding complications.
The ACQ CME committee planned this workshop consisting of community and academic cardiologists, interventional cardiologists and cardiology trainees with diverse practices and experiences across Quebec. The ACQ CME ensures an objective and balanced representation of the topic " Atelier conjoint ACQ-CCC: Nouveautés sur les antiplaquettaires ", free of third-party influence or support. Selected speakers from across Quebec represent diversity in gender, generation and geography.
