MD-PhD Student
McGill University, Canada
My name is Jae Hyun Byun, and I am an MD-PhD trainee at McGill University, based at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI‑MUHC). My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms driving atherosclerotic plaque instability, with an emphasis on sex differences and the use of advanced single-cell and spatial omics technologies. As a 2024 CIHR Vanier scholar, my work bridges clinical research, computational biology, and direct patient engagement, aiming to translate discoveries into better cardiovascular care.
