MICHAEL MILLER, MD, FACC, FAHA, FNLA, FASPC
Dr. Miller is a board-certified cardiologist, Chief of Medicine at the Corporal Michael J Crescenz VAMC and Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to arriving in Philadelphia in 2022, Dr. Miller was Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Director, Center for Preventive Cardiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed medical school at Rutgers, internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati and fellowships in lipoprotein metabolism and cardiovascular disease at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Miller serves as President, American Board of Clinical Lipidology, is past president of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology, past Chair of the AHA Council on Clinical Lipidology. Dr. Miller chaired the AHA Scientific Statement “Triglycerides and Cardiovascular Disease” is Associate Editor, Journal of Clinical Lipidology and has published more than 350 original articles, book chapters and scientific reviews. He is the co-author of 3 books, “The Practice of Coronary Disease Prevention” (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Baltimore, MD), “The American Medical Association Guide to Preventing and Treating Heart Disease” (Wiley & Sons, Philadelphia, PA) and “Heal Your Heart: The Positive Emotions Prescription to Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease” (Penguin Random House, New York City, NY).
