Ziyad Alanazi is a third-year Internal Medicine resident at Dalhousie University, with a strong academic and clinical focus on cardiology. He completed his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2022.
His research interests lie in heart failure, conduction abnormalities, and mechanical circulatory support. He has co-authored multiple publications, including case reports in Cureus and Case Reports in Cardiology, and contributed to outcomes research in mitral valve surgery. His ongoing project, Prevalence and Clinical Significance of Conduction Abnormalities in Patients with Heart Failure, has been presented as both an oral presentation at Dalhousie’s Cardiac Research Day and as a poster at the Department of Medicine Research Day, and will be featured at the 2025 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress in Quebec City.
