Dr. Mehima Kang is a third year internal medicine resident at UBC. She completed her undergraduate studies at Queens University during which she spent a year at the University fo Hawaii completing her Fulbright Killam Fellowship. She completed her MD degree at UBC and is in her final year of internal medicine residency training at UBC. She has been contributing to cardiovascular research for the last 7 years through various topics such as spontaneous coronary artery dissection, left artrial appendage closure, premature coronary artery disease in South Asians, determinants of STEMI outcomes, PVC treatment and left ventricular dysfunction, and cardiac amyloidosis. She hopes to pursue a fellowship in Cardiology and continue contributing to clinical cardiovascular research and knowledge translation.
