Workshop Description: We are honored to propose Dr. Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, an internationally recognized leader in cardiovascular PET imaging and current President of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), as the distinguished speaker for the CNCT Robbie Burns Memorial Lecture.
Dr. Chareonthaitawee will deliver a timely and forward-looking lecture on the clinical applications of PET myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) and myocardial blood flow (MBF), with a particular focus on emerging innovations and the evolving role of PET in clinical practice.
A major highlight of the talk will be the clinical potential of F-18 flurpiridaz, an investigational PET perfusion agent that has been generating considerable excitement for its superior imaging characteristics, logistical advantages, and implications for widespread clinical adoption. As ASNC continues to work on a new PET imaging position statement, this lecture offers a unique opportunity to engage with current and future guidelines, practical considerations, and the research roadmap shaping the future of PET MPI.
