Delve into the unique challenges of managing systemic tricuspid regurgitation in patients with cc-TGA. Starting of real cases, we will discuss pathophysiology, diagnostic nuances, timing of intervention, as well as surgical and interventional selection and approaches. Gain practical strategies to improve quality of life and long-term survival in this complex congenital condition.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

explain the pathophysiology of systemic tricuspid regurgitation in patients with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (cc-TGA);
identify diagnostic tools and imaging modalities for assessing systemic tricuspid valve function in cc-TGA patients;
discuss the timing and criteria for surgical or interventional repair/replacement of the systemic tricuspid valve;
discuss surgical strategies: therapeutic options and sequences;
evaluate the impact of systemic tricuspid regurgitation on ventricular function, heart failure progression, and patient outcomes; and
review current evidence and emerging therapies for managing systemic tricuspid regurgitation in the context of cc-TGA.
