Dr Karen Harrington is is a pediatric intensivist at CHU Sainte-Justine, Université de Montréal. Specialised in cardiac critical care, she is medical director of the cardiac mechanical assist program. She holds a MSc in Human Factors and Systems Safety and is particularly interested in the roles of communication and compassion in safety. As PICU program director she is honoured to witness the quality of our next generation of intensive care physicians.
