Workshop Description: This is proposed Part 1 of a 3 part half-day workshop series on pediatric and congenital electrophysiology. Part 1 of this series will focus on capturing and interpreting diagnostic electrocardiographic tracings in children and patients with congenital heart disease with symptoms of arrhythmias.
The first session will be titled “Pediatric ECG Quiz: Test your interpretation and review some tips and tricks”. This session will be an interactive review of ECG tracings and key learning points from each of the tracings. Participants will be provided with copies of the tracings prior to the workshop by dissemination via the CPCA and CACHNET membership lists. Audience polling will occur during the session such that audience members will submit their answers for each of the tracings anonymously. This session will last for 30 minutes with time to answer audience questions after each clinical cases is presented.
The second session will be titled “Capturing the cause: Updates on wearable devices in pediatric and congenital cardiology”. This session will provide the audience with a review of currently and newly available monitors that are available to record electrocardiographic tracings during arrhythmic symptoms in children and patients with congenital heart disease. This talk will be 15 minutes in duration and will start and conclude with a case presentation. The session will also include live audience polling.
The session will conclude with a 13-15 minute question and answer session and panel discussion with the two moderators and two speakers as members of the panel during which the audience can interact with the speakers.
