Michael Khoury is a pediatric cardiologist and Associate Professor at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, University of Alberta, where he serves as the Section Head of Pediatric Preventive Cardiology. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Toronto and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Toronto and Alberta. He underwent subspecialty fellowships in Pediatric Preventive Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Alberta. He was the Co-Chair of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Clinical Practice Update on pediatric lipid disorders and is also the Co-Chair on an upcoming Canadian Paediatric Society Position Statement on the same topic. His research interests include a focus in improving the detection and management of children and families with familial hypercholesterolemia.
