Dr. Rivard is a clinician-researcher and trialist who specialises in the heart-brain connection and arrhythmia risk assessment. She finished her training in France in 1999 and in Canada in 2009. She holds two Master's degrees: one in clinical research methodology and the other in biostatistics. She holds multiple research grants from CIHR, Heart and Stroke Foundation, C-SPIN and the FRSQ. She is leading the CIHR-funded randomised controlled BRAIN AF trial (exploring the effect of oral anticoagulation on cognition in low-risk AF patients) and the HSF-funded international Bayesian COME TAVI trial (exploring clinical strategy in conduction defects after TAVR).
Dr. Rivard is involved in several clinical trials in the field of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia as principal investigator and/or member of the steering committee.
