Interventional Cardiologist

After medical school in Glasgow, Scotland and Cardiology training in England and Canada, Dr. John Graham joined St. Michael's Hospital as an Interventional Cardiologist in 2008. He is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Coronary Intervention, the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program, and physician lead for the STEMI program at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Dr. Graham obtained his medical degree (graduating with Commendation) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 1995 and completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Royal Brompton, St. Bartholomew’s and London Chest Hospitals in London, England followed by PCI fellowship (combined with research in interventional cardiac MRI) at University of Toronto/Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Dr. Graham’s clinical interests include Complex PCI, primarily PCI of chronically occluded arteries (CTOs) and calcified lesions and renal denervation for resistant hypertension. His research interests are in the field of complex coronary angioplasty (particularly coronary CTOs, calcified arteries and mechanical circulatory support), Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) and renal denervation therapy for resistant hypertension
Dr. Graham is married with 3 children and often goes to work for a rest. Socially he is an avid soccer fan (but he calls it football), a moderate skier and a slow cyclist.
