Workshop Description: This workshop is intended to be presented in French as part of the partnership between the Association des cardiologues du Québec (ACQ) and CCC. The workshop aims to meet the learning needs of participants seeking a comprehensive overview of congenital heart disease commonly encountered in cardiology clinical practice. In the presented program we will address common congenital pathologies that a cardiologist practicing in the community may encounter. Through clinical scenarios presented in this workshop, participants will gain a comprehensive, and practical approach to patient selection and referral for advanced medical treatment, interventional procedures or surgical therapies. The workshop will also provide an appropriate description of technical aspects relevant to general cardiologists, as well as guidance on follow-up and expected outcomes following percutaneous or surgical interventions.
The ACQ CME committee has organized this workshop comprising community and academic cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiology trainees with diverse practices and experiences across Quebec. The ACQ CME has ensured an objective and balanced representation of the topic "Atelier conjoint ACQ-CCC: Les cardiopathies congénitales en pratique de ville" free of third-party influence or support. The selected speakers from various regions of Quebec represent diversity in gender, generation, and practice geography.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

expand the management of ASDs and VSDs by differentiating between types of communication, optimal intervention options, and appropriate follow-up strategies;
optimize the assessment and monitoring of aortopathies by specifying diagnostic criteria and indications for intervention for bicuspid valve disease and associated aortic dilation; and
improve the recognition and management of congenital coronary anomalies by identifying suggestive clinical situations and applying appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
