Workshop Description: Beneficial for rotations through the cardiac intensive care unit, trainees will review the algorithm for Cardiac Surgery Unit - Advanced Life Support (CSU-ALS) and perform simulated resuscitation on dry models. The aim of the simulation is to become familiar with the CSU-ALS protocol, chest re-opening indication and sequence, and gain skills in collaboration and communication.
Trainees will develop critical CVICU skills and learn to manage post-cardiac surgery emergencies through case-based learning and simulation.
