Workshop Description: We propose a case based and practical workshop aimed at the general cardiologist, internist, or primary care provider to enable them to manage patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) with confidence.
There will be 4 focused eight minute presentations, then 20 minutes of interactive Q&A. We will cover indications for revascularization for patients with PAD, medical therapy for patients with PAD, how to follow and surveille PAD patients after revascularization, and the role of cardiovascular rehabilitation for PAD patients.
This session will be very practical and case based, and will highlight vascular experts from Quebec and Eastern Ontario. It should be of interest to the general cardiologist, vascular internist, and primary care clinician.
