Workshop Description: While left ventricular dysfunction has historically been a primary focus in cardio-oncology, it is now clear that the spectrum of cardiovascular toxicity in cancer care is much broader. This session will explore three key areas of emerging relevance: arrhythmias, vascular toxicities, and inflammatory cardiac syndromes (myocarditis/pericarditis).
Each subtopic will involve initial live audience polling to assess baseline knowledge and stimulate engagement followed by a concise talk based on a real-world clinical case. The subtopic will be completed with an interactive panel discussion.
The session will emphasize multidisciplinary collaboration, efficient communication, and practical strategies for surveillance and management, with the ultimate goal of improving cardiovascular outcomes in cancer patients and survivors.
By the end of this session, attendees will be equipped to recognize and manage a broader range of cardiovascular complications beyond left ventricular dysfunction.
